Paradise Valley Ev. Lutheran Church is a Christian congregation located in northeast Phoenix, Arizona. We are a Bible-based church, preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.

We invite you to join us for worship! We also offer Bible Classes for those who would like to learn more about what the Bible teaches and what God has done for each of us through His Son, Jesus Christ.

We are located on the southeast corner of 40th Street and Nisbet,
two blocks south of Greenway Road, in northeast Phoenix.

Holy Communion celebrated 2nd and last Sundays of each month.


Bible classes are offered on a regular basis.
The following categories of bible classes are currently being offered:

Adult Bible Information Classes (ABIC) are intended for those who want to learn more about what the Bible teaches. These classes are recommended for those who are interested in church membership, as well as for current members wishing to review and study basic bible teachings. Classes are normally scheduled on weeknights.

Adult Bible Classes (ABC) are offered to study various bible topics. One class is offered on Sunday mornings at 10:30 am, following worship. Other classes are scheduled during the week.

October 13, 1974

First worship service held at Greenway Middle School.

December, 1974

The name Paradise Valley Evangelical Lutheran Church was officially adopted and the first Church Council elected.

November 12, 1975

Congregation granted "Mission Status" by the WELS General Board for Home Missions.

May 22, 1976

Paul Fetzer, graduate of Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary, was assigned to serve the new mission as first resident pastor.

April 9, 1978

Groundbreaking service held on the church building site.

February 4, 1979

First church building dedicated.

January 6, 1980

Pastor Edward Pinchoff installed as second resident pastor.

December 11, 1983

Congregation declares "self support" effective January 1, 1984.

July 7, 1985

Pastor Frederick Casmer installed as third resident pastor.

September 18, 1991

State of Arizona license issued for a preschool.

January 17, 1993

Dedication of remodeled chapel.

September 15, 1996

Dedication of new Allen electronic organ.

November 12, 2000

Celebration of congregation's 25th Anniversary.

March 4, 2001

Commitment Sunday for "Forward in Christ" Program

November 10, 2002

Mortgage burning and celebration of congregation's 27th Anniversary.
